Extended Producer's Responsibility (EPR) is a policy approach under which producers take responsibility for the environmental impact of the products they create and sell.
In the context of plastic waste, EPR would require Producers, Importers, and Brand-owners of plastic products to take responsibility for managing (collection, segregation, and recycling/end-of-life disposal) the waste generated from their products. This could include financing waste management systems, ensuring that their products can be recycled or safely disposed of, or supporting clean-up efforts in communities impacted by plastic waste.
Alternative fuels and raw materials (AFR) refer to materials and energy sources that can be used as substitutes for traditional fossil fuels and raw materials.
Some examples of Alternative fuels: Biofuels (such as ethanol and bio-diesel), hydrogen, plastic waste, RDF (Refuse Derived Fuel), plant-based materials, etc. The use of alternative fuels and raw materials is driven by the need to reduce dependence on finite fossil fuel resources and greenhouse gas emissions. Alternative fuels and raw materials can offer numerous benefits, such as reduced air and water pollution, reduced greenhouse gas emissions, and new jobs in producing and using these alternatives. Dry waste managemnet services include collecting and recycling/disposing of non-organic waste such as paper, plastics, metal, glass, and electronics.
We collect dry waste from Urban Local Bodies, Industries, Educational Institutions, Corporates, and other establishments. ZEROTRASH offers a disposal certificate as confirmation of the waste collected. The steps followed are Collection, Sorting, Recycling, Disposal. ZEROTRASH has set up Material Recovery Facilities (MRF) in multiple states in collaboration with Urban Local Bodies (ULBs).

The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) of India has issued guidelines for implementing the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) program for plastic waste management in India. The guidelines aim to ensure that Producers, Brand Owners, and Importers of plastic products take responsibility for the end-of-life management of the plastic waste generated from their products.
Under the EPR program, producers of plastic products are required to establish collection systems for the plastic waste generated from their products and to finance the treatment and disposal of the collected plastic waste.
